Luigi Germinario from the University of Padova was convener of the session: “Weathering and conservation of cultural heritage and geosites” at the JpGU (Japan Geoscience Union) Meeting 2022 that took place 29 May-3 June 2022.

The JpGU 2022 meeting was the first Hybrid meeting ever in JpGU history where participants could attend both in-person and online from all over the world.
Also, during the JpGU Meeting C. Coletti, J. Nava, L.P. Cesareo et al., presented the paper:
“Deterioration effects on bricks masonry in the Venice lagoon cultural heritage. Study of the main façade of the Santa Maria dei Servi Church (XIV century)”.

JpGU is a large organization with about 10,000 members and 51 scientific associations related to Earth and Planetary Sciences, and the annual conference at Makuhari until 2019 was literally a festival of Earth and Planetary Science, with about 8,000 attendees each year.
